Watercolour artist David Bell is renowned for his historic marine, aviation, and steam locomotive paintings. He combines great technical skill with imagination and vision to create evocative and atmospheric works with incredible attention to detail.
This 1000-piece puzzle depicts Flying Scotsman at York Shed. Built in 1923 as a Gresley-designed A1, the Pacific 4-6-2 Flying Scotsman was the first of its class to achieve 100mph. From 1938 all new Pacifics were built with modified boilers and cylinders and classed as A3’s. Flying Scotsman was the only A3 to survive the steam era and is now preserved at the National Rail Museum, York.
Puzzle measures 48x68cm when complete.
