Watercolour artist David Bell is renowned for his historic marine, aviation, and steam locomotive paintings. He combines great technical skill with imagination and vision to create evocative and atmospheric works with incredible attention to detail.
This 1000-piece puzzle depicts Sir William Stanier - One of the last nine ‘Coronations’ built at Crewe. Neither a ‘Duchess’ nor ‘City’, this engine was uniquely named after its designer, Sir William Stanier. The rod on the driver’s side is the reversing screw which was only fitted on the last two engines. Shown here leaving Euston Station in the late fifties.
